I understand what you are talking about with all the mods but the same money that I would be putting into a new diesel 1 ton I might as well invest the money into a custom Diesel Tundra. I like the idea that I can pull all that weight but I dont want to ever stress the tranny. I have been on Hino's website and I know what they can handle so I will be able to get there stuff and all that and there are alot of auctions for big rigs around here so I will be able to get the stuff pretty cheap and if it doesnt work than it doesnt work. I find it as a learning opportunity. I mean that if ya got the money and you cant take it with you when you die and your presented with the opportunity to make an awesome truck even more awesome than I say go for it. I understand what you mean about safety and I respect that you want your family to be safe but where I live and where I would test out its tow capacity after I got it all done, there are not that many people that get on the roads. I also understand that with the extra weight that I would be carrying around that I wouldn't go as fast and I know that I would have to start slowing down alot sooner than normal but besides the normal stuff like that I dont see the real danger in it. I just wanna know why your so against it.

The drop was simple and very stable as far as cornering and such, however the only problem is the bounce factor of the leaf springs. It had a habit of bottoming out when you hit a speed bump or sharp drop in the road surface. I solved this by adding a set of Helwig under leaf spring helpers. Very simple to install and helped with both the bounce and gave it even more stability. Thanks for the comment. Also have a question for you...In your pictures did you add an additional grounding kit? And where all did you attach the ground points? Did you buy the kit or make it yourself?
i just returned the loaner (clown mobile) to the dealer. got my truck back. how sweet it is. i think i might find me a dodge ram on the way home and remind him that a hemi isn't all that. guess what i found out i have a performance chip in my truck...............didn't know that

Looks like I might score a 5.7 after all. My dealer found me one with under 10,000 miles on it that someone traded in today. It wont bump my payment to bad hopefully. If I do get it, im gonna need some help in what I should do to it, so start brainstorming :). Hope all is well bro.
