I have read many post on another forum about this same thing. It seems to be quite common regardless of type of filter used. Mine does it also and for as long as I can remember; and I have the TRD CAI.

Thing is, oil does not come off the filter. The air flow through a filter is simply too slow.

For those that think oil from the filter is ruining the MAF, go to the K&N website and read / listen to the evaluation they did on this matter.

I'm running the 285/65-18 BFG AT-KO. A 33 inch tire, big enough. The speedometer is still accurate with this tire, at least in my truck. Yes, I did have it checked.
