I have water leaking into my truck from the rear third tail light on top the cab. Anyone else run into this?

I have heard of this. You need a new gasket. It is covered under warranty.

Thanks tonyspin. I too on my 07' tundra double cab am also having to have issues with a gasket, but it is the glue not holding anymore on both sides of the front doors both driver and passenger side on the very top back corner between the window and frame of the door. All it probably needs is new glue in the corner, but if it does not hold up, dealer will have to replace the entire window seal. I hope it does not leak soon before I take it in for warranty work. I only noticed it by happening to look at that top rear corner and the rubber was sticking out about 1/2" out and not flush with the sheet metal. Yet another example of minor issues only 24K later. Attention to detail was sort of lacking on my 07' tundra double cab unfortunately.

Hey Mike - I have that issue with the door but fortunately it's only the driver side and I haven't had an actual leak yet. I'll just ask them to fix it when I take the truck back home next month.

Nice to know it is not just my truck, but probably several 1,000 2007 and 2008 tundras out there with rubber gasket failures either in the rear taillamp assembly or the door window frames like mine or who knows where else. I took it in today along with having my rusted spots and tailgate repainted under warranty and the body shop said they will try to reglue the double sided tape back onto the metal around the door frame, but might have to order 3 (3 of the 4 doors have bad sealing rubber around the doors not sticking anymore only after 2 years and 25K) whole new rubber seals. I told them to try reglueing them first since he said the rubber gaskets are one piece and they would have to take apart all 3 door panels which I don't want them to do since I had a terrible time with my driver's door panel fitting properly from the very beginning and had to order right right after new a new driver's door panel since wasn't fitting right.

Cool - let me know how it goes. I also wonder if it has to do with the climate the truck is kept in. Mine is garaged here in CA but stays in my driveway in TX.....although most of the truck's life has been in CA garage.

I live in WI and the tundra is kept in the garage 99% of the time and I don't use the power washer very often so I don't think it is nothing but just poor quality glueing from the factory. The body shop at toyota dealer said the top triangular corner piece under the black rubber in the back top of both front doors is held on by double sided tape so it must not be that good. Let's hope it is not the majority of 07 tundras and possibly 08's also since if it is, there is going to be tons of rubber gasket seals pulling apart after 2 years of use.

I'll just take mine in August when I'm back home and have them replace it and hope they don't jack up the door in the process.
