i want to lower the back of my truck people ask if its 4 wd i want to be sure it looks 2 wd and sporty. i was told i can take a leaf spring out, but i am curious as to the ride quality and if it will assist in any damage
it will be a lil rougher of a ride I know several people who have taken all leaf springs out and left just the bumpstop. It is a rougher ride for sure but didnt affect anything else!
take all the springs out and ride on the bump stop? really? that must be a horrible ride... i would never dream of complete removal of the leafs... seems like a U-Bolt flip kit and moving the leaf's to the bottom of the axel so you could space them down would be the best method... but to each his/her own i suppose.
will it look like a cadillac with bad shocks going down the road when i hit a bump, ya know what i mean really bouncy. also how much is the volant cold air intake and the rbp black grill
rl or rx grille?? volant cai is around $365. Yeah I told that guy taking the leafs out would be so lame and tacky and he did it anyway. My motto is, if your going to do something do it right, and the first time!! lol
can you take a picture of that? I would be very interested to see a truck that can fuction without leaf springs. Just how the hardware would need to be set up to serve the purpose of the leaf springs, without actually having the springs, seems like it would be an adventure in automotive engineering.
not really, lol he kept the short leaf spring on. I guess it was a poor boy way to lower his truck!! It works but damn man its a rough ass ride!!!! I dunno if he even still has the truck actually I havent saw him or the truck around in a few months! Ill look into getting pics lol
you might not have seen it recently because his axle fell off going down the high way. With no springs only his brake lines and drive shaft were holding it on. lol
