Is there a fog light kit for the 2008 Tundra? I have an SR5 that didn't come with them, has anyone found a kit that works? I am only finding piaa replacement lamps on ebay for people who are lucky enough to have factory fog lights already. The Tundra accessory sites I've found don't list them. I am thinking I'm SOL.
You can buy the factory lights and wiring harness from your parts department, but wiring them up is a little harder than wiring up after-market lights.
Thanks Jason, Mickey looks a little more handy with his truck than I dare to be. I have no problem rebuilding homes, but I don't trust me with my Tundra ;>
Ya that's how the factory stuff is. I'd suggest calling your local accessories and/or stereo shop for a quote. They'll put on some nice aftermarket PIAA lamps (or similar) for $200-250 (guess).
Great advice, I will shop around and see what I can come up with, my previous experience with after market fog lights wasn't so great, they were hard wired in, and easy to leave on by mistake, that's my main concern. I don't want to walk out to a dead battery because I suck at installing light kits ;> Saving a couple hundo is incentive to do some more research. Any advice on installing fog lights the turn off when the parking lights or truck is off is appreciated. :)

TRDSparks.com recently posted the install instructions for the Toyota fog light kit. Taking the steering wheel off to install seems ridiculous for fog lights.
YES!
User David m. breaux had a set added on an external switch on the dash. It all looks factory. You should contact him. Ill let him know you are looking and see if I can get him to post on this.

Hi, I wanted to update this thread, I found a PIAA kit for our trucks and installed it this weekend.
PIAA 5452 Xtreme White Driving Lamps
I wired the lights to run when the parking lights are on, so they can run independant of the headlights or with them even with the highbeams on. Yet they will go off when the trucks lights are off. BTW these were a huge pain in the... to install. But worth the late night.

Nice job! This is my next planned mod at the end of this year and good to know they can run independently. If I may ask, where did you find your kit and how was customer service?

Thanks, I dig it.
I bought these from streetsideauto.com, they had a coupon on the site for 10% off which got them down to ~$225, I just checked their site the coupon on the main page is now 20% off (code = FAST20). They shipped them to me free within a few days. They were tough to install, plan on a long night. Ping me when you are working on it, I can walk you through the wiring the instructions were weak. They also want you to wire the relay to the high beams, (only able to run with the brights on) I wired it to the parking lights instead.

Awesome deal and thanks again for the info. I'm more than likely going to find someone else to do it - I'll try everything else on my cars except electrical components. If the install instructions aren't too bad I may give it a try and let you know. Thanks!
