Just checking, but I bought my tundra last week and I have a friend who owns an offroad shop to lift the truck. He says that I can lift my truck with a 6" Race Car Dynamics lift, 35 inch toyo m/t tires, 20 inch kmc xd monster rims, amp power steps, exhaust, air intake and re-calibration of the engine for about $7000 dollars. I trust him completely but I just wanted opinions on the pricing and if that is really as cheap as I could go price-wise. I told him I didnt want the most expensive things but I wanted the longest lasting, best equipment for my truck. Would anyone like to comment and/or make some more suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Other 6" or more lift options recommended by Tundra folks: ProComp, Rough Country, or BDS. PC is above my budget and have heard complaints about leakage issues with a certain component on the front. Other than that, great reviews. Rough Country I've heard a complaint about customer service in replacing a part on an FJ....but nothing else negative. Pricing does sound about right....kits are roughly $2500 installed depending which one you chose. Tires easily $300 a piece. KMC 20"s about $250 a piece. Amp - $1300 plus install. Exhaust really just depends but I did mine for under $400 and it's a true dual setup. Jeremy Breaux did a nice job for under $100. Intakes run around $300 and you can install on your own. Recalibrate engine? No idea why or how.....Hope that helps.

On the recalibration part - probably to recalibrate speedometer for the bigger tires...

And the Flux Capacitor

Oh okay..how exactly do they do speedo recalibration? I don't need any help getting stopped as is.

The OB Computer knows that each revolution of the tire equals X amount of distance. The recalibration tells the Comp that X equals the new number. if you change your tire diameter any signifigant amount it is a good idea to get that done.

How much does the RCD lift run? I looked on their website and they don't have prices for it... I hate it when they do that...

My guy, as well as another mechanical friend, both said that the RCD lift runs about $2300. But they also both told me that it is one of the best lifts that can run 100,000 miles without any troubles.

I can get you procomp stage 1 for $1455 and procomp stage 2 for $2250 I can also get you a deal on rims and tires let me know mane

What is the difference between the procomp lifts and the RCD? From what I was told the RCD lift is the top of the line lift. I dont know why, but I would love to know the difference. Also im looking at 35 inch toyo m/t tires and 20 inch xd series monster or hoss rims(possibly). What could you get them for and what would be the total with shipping?

send me your zip code exact size and offset you need, also chrome/black. yr make model truck 4x4, 4x2??? Im not really familiar with RCD, but I def can attest to the greatness of my PC stage 2 lift! Its amazing! We can ship everything together to lower the shipping cost!

Im not sure what offset that I want and the monster rims are out of stock. But Im looking at 35 in toyo m/t, black xd series 20 inch hoss wheels(or something similar like monster), 4x4, 2010 tundra crew max.

Nothing wrong with asking what the differences are. I honestly couldn't tell you and have been asking the same as I'm doing my research to determine my final choice. I plan to get some live face time with a few more stores/installers over the weekend and will pass on any info, if useful.
