I have heard that you can put 17 rims on the new tundra. Does anyone know if that is true and if so can you tell me what brands fit? Someone told me that they put some 17's on there tundra but they had too cut part of the caliper. i want to avoid doing that. My reason for wanting to put 17's rims on my truck is because tires are less expensive. Super swamper makes 34/10.50/17 Cost about $160 each.
That is exactly my concern, The width of the stock TRD rims are said to be only 8" wide.
The specs for a 305/60 or 65/ by 18R recommends a rim of 8.5"-11" in width.
Aren't we short by half and inch?
While I was lost in the mountains this morning I spotted a white Tundra w/TRD package and he had some BFGs...didn't look like it was lifted so I was trying to get a closer look. He thought I was checking him out. I should have at least waved, huh?
